Your family is unusual. The road trips are the most fun that you ever have and everyone gets along just fine. This being said, things can take a sour turn if your car, truck, or utility vehicle breaks down during the road trip. Battery
We will inspect the battery and test it to make sure that it is holding a charge. We will also make sure that the battery is not leaking acid and that the case is not warped. If your battery is fine, we will move on. If it is time to replace the battery, we will let you know so you can choose the battery you want installed. We will dispose of the old battery properly.
Brake System
We will also inspect the brake system to make sure you can count on it even if you have to stop on a dime. It is important that you can rely on your vehicle’s brake system whenever you drive your automobile, especially when you are on a road trip. As with the battery, if anything needs to be changed out, such as the brake pads, we will do so.
Cooling System
We will also inspect the cooling system to make sure you don’t get stranded with an overheating engine. In addition to inspecting the cooling system, we will check the level and condition of all of the automotive fluids, and we will check the filters. We will also take a look at the belts and hoses to make sure they are in excellent shape.
Oil
It’s a good idea to have your oil changed before you head out on a road trip, even if the service is not due. Depending on the distance that you are planning to drive, you may actually need an oil change in the middle of the road trip if your oil change service is coming due. Let us take care of it now so you don’t need to worry about the motor oil or filter when you are on the road.
